The Adult Community Mental Health Service (ACMHS) is a community based service that is designed to support you in your recovery.
When you or someone you know experience one or more of the following:
- Psychological distress
- An emotional crisis
- Feel mental health difficulties are interfering with daily life
- Feel things are "not quite right"
- Feel there is no future, or life is not worth living
Adult Community Mental Health has offices based in Wodonga, Wangaratta and Albury. You can call our service and speak with the Triage Worker (during business hours). Alternatively you can give permission for your GP, family, friends or another service to contact on your behalf.
If there is an urgent crisis that needs immediate attention a 24 hour triage service is available.

The ACMHS team is made up of people from a variety of backgrounds including nursing, occupational therapy and social work. A range of services are provided by the team including: triage, crisis support and continuing care support, providing short and long term involvement. The team role is to promote recovery principles, provide up to date information and resources, create opportunity for learning and role model self responsibility, positive relationships and problem solving skills.
